Personal: My name is Pat Strey and I am currently a senior on the St. John’s baseball team. I grew up in Apple Valley, Minnesota, and attended Eastview High School. At St. John’s, I am majoring in Social Science Education. I recently completed my student teaching experience teaching Minnesota History in a sixth grade classroom at Sartell Middle School, and American and World History in tenth and eleventh grade classrooms at Sartell High School. After I complete my final semester at St. John’s, I plan on jumping right into the schools, teaching in a middle school classroom somewhere in the state of Minnesota. In terms of baseball, our ultimate goal is to repeat as MIAC champions and return to, and win, the regional playoffs. We, as seniors, believe to achieve this goal, we need to focus on building the chemistry of the team by making St. John’s baseball a positive, welcoming environment, and doing the little things every single day that are going to help us be a successful ball club. Come late May, our family hopes to be playing ball in Appleton, Wisconsin at the College World Series.
