Personal: My name is Dan Schaefer and I am apart of the baseball team here at Saint Johns majoring in financial accounting. I am currently a sophomore from Savage, Minnesota. For high school I attended the Academy of Holy Angels located in Richfield, Minnesota. Some of the hobbies I have include fishing, trapshooting, and wakeboarding. I chose to attend Saint Johns University to obtain a substantial education as well as to be apart of a prominent baseball program. As both a student and an athlete, I believe that being apart of the Baseball team here at Saint Johns has also helped me with my classwork. Both my fellow teammates and coaches have both been valuable assets to me in regards to helping me be successful in my various classes. Overall, my goals during my college career are to graduate with a degree in financial accounting and to be apart of a baseball team with an outstanding tradition.

Personal:  My name is Bennett Wiggins and I am a freshman 3rd baseman and pitcher.  My hometown is St. Anthony Village, and during my years here at SJU, I plan to create lifelong friendships and enjoy the college experience as much as possible.  Currently, I am planning on majoring in Econ and/or Finance.  While going to school here at SJU, I like to hang out with friends, play basketball, watch Netflix, play NHL14, workout, and fish on Lake Sag.  After I graduate, I plan to either join a company somewhere in the Midwest, or create my own small business.  My favorite MLB team (other than the Minnesota Twins) is the Toronto Blue Jays and my favorite player in Marcus Stroman.

Personal:  My name is Ben Bierscheid and I am a first year student and member of the baseball team at St. John’s University. I have not decided on a major, but I am exploring a career in finance or mathematics.  I graduated from Sartell High School in 2015 where I still hold the record for highest career batting average.  I live in Sartell with my dad, step-mom, younger sister, and two younger brothers. I enjoy camping, hunting and fishing, sports (baseball in particular), and spending time at the lake.  Baseball has been a part of my life ever since I was a kid. I have played on numerous different teams, including the 2015 Play Ball MN North All Stars and the St. Joseph Joe’s amateur baseball team. I am looking forward to meeting a lot of new life long friends as well as winning a championship at St. John’s.  I hope attending St. John’s and participating in athletics helps me improve my leadership skills and teaches me the importance of quality time management.

Personal: My name is Tyler Schumacher and I am a Junior at SJU.  I graduated from Lakeville South High School playing both baseball and hockey.  I am currently pursuing an Accounting Major at SJU and plan to take the CPA Exam in 2017.  I currently work as a teaching assistant and tutor for the CSBSJU Accounting Department.  In the summer of 2016, I will be an Assurance Intern at PwC in their Minneapolis offices.  I aspire one day to become a CFO for a large corporation.  As a third year catcher on the baseball team, I want to serve as a role model and leader for the young players and hope to take home another MIAC Championship in 2016.
